We are pleased to share information on a unique and important fundraising cycle event, organised by Blisland Community Shop, in an effort to both raise funds for the shop and raise awareness of the importance of community shops in rural and village communities. 

The proposed route can be found below:

  • Sheepwash - Thursday 22 June 8.30am
  • Burrington - Thursday 22 June 10am
  • High Bickington - Thursday 22 June 11.30am
  • Chittlehamholt - Thursday 22 June 12.30pm
  • Oake - Friday 23 June late morning/ early afternoon
  • Lympsham - Saturday 24 June early afternoon
  • Dorstone - Monday 26 June midday 
  • Llanbadarn Fyndd - Tuesday 27 June midday

The total route is approximately 380-400 miles. Peter is starting the ride on Wednesday 21 June at 7.30am. The overnight stops are Sheepwash, South Molton, Bridgwater, Clevedon, Monmouth, Kington, Newtown, Bala and Port Meirion.

The idea behind the ride is to raise funds for Blisland Community Shop and to raise awareness of the importance of Community Shops and the vital role they play in rural and village communities.
