Support is still available for groups at the early stages of setting up a rural community enterprise as part of Enterprising Rural Communities, a project funded by the Prince’s Countryside Fund and delivered by the Plunkett Foundation.

Through the project, we are seeking to inspire rural communities to create new community enterprises with the aim of improving access to rural services. This project is open to communities across the UK to help them explore the steps required to set up a community enterprise and facilitate shared learning with existing, like-minded enterprises and individuals.

Whether you are interested in forming a group and exploring the steps required to set up a community enterprise, or you’ve already established a group, we may be able to support you. All we ask is that you must support the belief that by working together co-operatively you will add additional value to your work.
