Successful webinar session on governance for community co-operatives We had a fantastic session on Wednesday 31 May meeting a number of community shops and Making Local Woods Work groups online and hearing from Dr Mark Simmonds from Co-op Culture. Mark led the session and presented on ‘Good Governance for Community Co-operatives’. It was a great opportunity for Plunkett members to receive bespoke advice on managing the governance side of their community co-operative. Governance is a complex area, especially when it comes to co-operatives, and Mark navigated the groups through a range of common challenges and shared his top tips from years of experience in the co-operative sector. The session also allowed groups to ask their own governance questions to ensure they received good value from Plunkett’s online session. We would like to thank Power To Change’s Peer Networking programme and the Princes Countryside Fund for supporting this webinar.
