Seeing is Believing Scotland is run by Plunkett Scotland and funded by the Princes Countryside Fund.

Through the programme, rural communities that are thinking of setting up a community-owned enterprise have had the opportunity to go on a study visit or work with a community mentor from another enterprise.

Over 2014 a range of projects have taken part including a number of pub groups, shops, community hubs as well as a heritage centre and bookstore. Below is a case study written by Kirsty MacColl of Plunkett Scotland.

The programme will come to a close later this year and all support must be allocated by March. If you are thinking of a rural community-owned enterprise and would like some help to explore and take your idea forward please get in touch with Kirsty by emailing [email protected]
