The Plunkett Foundation is looking to its members to nominate individuals from across the UK to join the Plunkett Community Co-operative Advisory Group (PCCAG). The PCCAG is essential in helping represent the interests, views and needs of the national network of community co-operatives to the Plunkett Foundation and others, particularly in shaping and developing Plunkett’s community co-operative support, membership development and advocacy role.

Meetings of the Advisory Group will provide the forum for mutual exchange of views and interests between community co-operatives and the Plunkett Foundation, enabling the community co-operative network to inform Plunkett about what they need, and for Plunkett to draw on the ideas and experience of established community co-operatives.

We are looking to elect ten new members to the group to represent current activity across the UK community co-operative sector. This means that we are looking to appoint the following number of seats:

• One seat to represent Scotland
• One seat to represent the North West, North East and Yorkshire and the Humber combined
• Two seats to represent the Midlands, East of England and Wales combined
• Three seats to represent the South West, South East and London combined
• Two seats representing the co-operative pub sector with no regional restrictions
• One seat representing a community co-operative that is neither a shop nor a pub, with no regional restrictions

Individuals looking to put themselves forward must be affiliated with a community co-operative that is a member of the Plunkett Foundation through its Community Enterprise Network membership strand. We are accepting applications from those who have self-nominated, and those who wish to nominate someone. Please note that all nomination forms require a statement from the individual standing for nomination. Individuals must have a minumum of one year of direct experience with setting up or running a community co-operative.

If you would like to submit a nomination please complete the nomination form and return to Harriet English by emailing [email protected] by Friday 27 November.
