Everyone is welcome to join us at The George and Dragon in Hudswell for this relaxed and informal session which will offer an opportunity to meet members of other local community businesses, exchange ideas and network.

Our current campaign #TheLittleThings has highlighted the incredible difference that community businesses are making throughout the UK. We know that they become a hub for local residents, tackling issues that impact those living in rural areas. These businesses offer so much more than simply plugging a gap in the market for a missing service, they offer a real lifeline to the community.

Our hosts in Hudswell are real pioneers when it comes to community business, opening Yorkshire's first community-owned pub in 2010, they've since gone on to open a thriving community shop, library and allotments and are leading the way with a fantastic community housing scheme. You'll have a chance to meet members of their committee and team who'll be with us during the afternoon to answer questions and share their experiences.

The event is FREE for Plunkett members, or just £8 per person for non-members, and is open to all community co-operative models; whether you're a shop, pub, woodland or any other co-operative enterprise you'll receive a warm welcome.
