We are hosting a networking and knowledge-sharing event for all urban communities in Birmingham on Tuesday 27 September 2016.

Our Urban Shop is a unique pilot that since 2014 has been working with urban communities across the UK to address the issues around buying good food and everyday provisions locally.

The day will include:

• An inspiring case study talk from Ruchazie community, Glasgow
• How to set-up a shop in your community by Nicole Hamilton, Plunkett Foundation
• The Our Urban Shop grantees
• A complimentary lunch to meet and talk with other communities
• Interesting findings from the pilot, by evaluator SERIO
• Group discussion: What do urban communities need in the future? Led by Phil Tulba, Locality

The event is free and final travel bursaries are available to support costs of getting to and from the event on a first come, first served basis. The nearest train stations to the venue are Moor Street (10 minute walk) and New Street (15 minute walk).

This event is suitable for all urban communities.
