Hosted by the Plunkett Foundation in partnership with Somerset Rural Community Council, we are delighted to present this Community Shops Networking Event in Somerset on the 10th November as the latest addition to the popular series of national networking events for community shops.
With over 80 shops already thriving in the South West, this event has the potential to be one of the largest yet, providing community shops across the region with a unique chance to network, make new connections and foster established relationships. As a national networking event, the day will also see shops from further afield come together to take advantage of the day.
Focusing on the importance and value of continually refreshing and developing your community business, this event will provide support to communities with the ambition to revive and invigorate shop sales, operations and finances of their business.

• Community Share Issues
• Business Planning
• Store Layout & Merchandising
• Good Shop, Bad Shop
• Sourcing Local Produce
The day will also explore ways to encourage and maintain support and engagement from your wider community. As well as being an ideal opportunity to provide training for your staff, volunteers and committee members, this event is the perfect place to network, create links and share good ideas with other community shops.
