Plunkett has a long history of undertaking research relating to our work.
Currently Plunkett is undertaking two key research projects with Defra and the Office of Civil Society. Plunkett is undertaking the first Review of Rural Social Enterprise in England research report that will be published in mid 2011. Plunkett is also undertaking action research with the Defra Social Enterprise Strategic Partnership looking at the role and potential of community food enterprises in relating to Defra’s strategic objectives.
In January 2011 Plunkett undertook research for Hastoe Housing Association in Somerset and Dorset looking at the role of older people in establishing and running community-owned enterprises.
Plunkett also published in January 2011 Better Business: Community-owned village shop, a comprehensive review of community-owned shops across the UK.
