Hindon Village Stores took over the business of the previous village shop on the retirement of the owners. The residents have bought the premises collectively and fitted out the new shop with the generous help of local contractors and volunteers.
The Shop opened on 7th September only one year from the launch of our ‘Save the Shop’ campaign. The new business is being well supported by the local community and is attracting trade from passing traffic. Hindon Community Shop sells locally sourced produce including fresh meat, vegetables and bread and bakes it own croissants and baguettes daily which are proving very popular.
They sell newspapers and stock most items you would find in the supermarkets.
