As part of its commitment to supporting rural communities, the Plunkett Foundation organises a range of events each year aimed at a wide range of community groups, from its regional networking events for community-owned shops to its annual national conference.
Our founder, Sir Horace Plunkett, was passionate about raising awareness of the power of community ownership among communities, and took to his horse to spread the message in the late 19th and early 20th century. Today, Plunkett continues to ensure that communities are given access to face-to-face, hands-on advice that will help them take control of the issues affecting them.
