The Plunkett Foundation Reference Information Centre houses a comprehensive English-language collection covering all aspects of co-operative and social enterprise in rural areas. The range of books, journals and documents from around the world has been growing since 1914, and represents a unique contemporary and historical resource.
The Reference Library encompasses approximately 20,000 items on all issues regarding the creation and development of co-operative and social enterprises in rural areas.
The Information centre is open to anyone involved in the development of rural co-operative and social enterprise world-wide. The centre displays most of the relevant journals, newsletters and reports published and provides working areas, IT and copying facilities.

The Information Centre houses the entire series of the Foundation's annual Yearbook of Agricultural Co-operation and World of Co-operative Enterprise (1927-2000); the complete Irish Homesteads (1895-1923) and limited copies of the Diaries and Index of Correspondence of Sir Horace Plunkett, as well as his documents relating to the Irish Convention of 1917-8.
A complete, annotated listing and synopsis of topics, compiled by the National Register of Archives' Historical Manuscripts Commission, is held by the Plunkett Foundation.
