Could your enterprise benefit from free specialist support?

As part of the continuation of support being provided through Making Local Food Work, Plunkett Foundation has launched a new wave of specialist support to all community food enterprises. This support includes:
• Business advice: highly qualified and experienced consultants from the social enterprise and local food sectors provide face-to-face technical expertise and general business advice on such topics as business planning and marketing.
• Mentoring: one-to-one visits and structured mentoring for any individual within an organisation from mentors who have been there and done it, and who will listen and share their own experience.
• Study visits: a subsidised and facilitated visit, hosted by successful; community food enterprises.
• Governance and legal structures: a dedicated helpline and tailored workshops to help enterprises select the right legal structure for them, and develop the best governance practices to ensure their sustainability.
Between 2007 and 2012 Plunkett Foundation provided free specialist advice to over 400 community food enterprises, helping them to become more sustainable and successful. Thanks to a continuation of support from the Big Lottery Fund we are able to extend this extremely valuable service until July 2013.
