Yorkshire producers sought for new project

Stockbridge Technology Centre has launched a knowledge transfer project to bring the issues of food security  and climate change to the managers of some food and farming businesses in Yorkshire. It is seeking 18 business representatives from across the region to make up the Food & Farming Entrepreneurs Network in order to share knowledge between academics with a world vision of sustainability and Yorkshire producers.

Lectures from leading academics will set the scene for three workshops, where the participants will develop their own ongoing programme. The first conference is scheduled for September 15th 2011, funded by Defra and the European Community.
