Plunkett Foundation Announces Two Tender Invitations for Making Local Food Work

1) The Plunkett Foundation seeks to appoint a partner to evaluate the overarching impact of the Making Local Food Work programme.   As an expansive support programme, MLFW wants to understand—and have tangible evidence to support—the change we have brought to the organisations and people we have supported.   We are particularly interested in the social, economic and environmental impact of the community food enterprises supported via MLFW.

For full details of this exciting opportunity, please review the Invitation to Tender document. The work will begin in May 2010 and continue until April 2012.  Deadline for all tender submissions is Friday 30th April 2010; tenders should be submitted electronically to jennifer.smith@plunkett.co.uk

2) The Plunkett Foundation is also actively seeking tender proposals to undertake an exciting piece of work, reviewing the future of the community food sector.  This activity will be linked to the Making Local Food Work (MLFW) programme.

MLFW wants to condense the learning of our work, and that of similar programmes/projects, into a forecast for the future of the community food sector.  The primary purpose of MLFW is to support the longevity of community food enterprises.  The purpose of this evaluation is 1) to analyse the current characteristics of the community food sector, 2) to forecast how this sector can mature and grow in the coming years, and 3) to understand if cross-collaboration---enterprises consciously working together to achieve joint aims—is an integral aspect of future for community food enterprises.
