Longborough Community-Owned Shop is Now Open!
The community of Longborough in Gloucestershire have worked extremely hard over the past two years to to restore a much valued amenity within the village.
This weekend the village turned out to raise a glass to their fantastic new shop and cafe and say thank you to everybody involved.
A beneficiary of the Plunkett Foundation's
Village CORE funding programme, the shop provides a range of essential groceries and newspapers, including fresh fruit and vegetables, household products, milk, cheese, chutneys, sweets, meats and cakes.
The cafe provides a comfortable area for villagers and passers by to sit down and enjoy coffee and cake, or meet for lunch and a chat.
